The faculty exhibited the Australian Standards for Health Practitioner Pain Management Education at the 2026 Australian Pain Society 46th Annual Scientific Meeting (APS 2026) in Adelaide from 19–22 April.

The team engaged extensively with health practitioners and educators across the sector who were keen to understand the development of  the standards and explore how they can be applied in practice and embedded within education frameworks.

These in-person discussions with our fellowship and broader health community play a critical role in driving the implementation and uptake of the standards across the health workforce and education systems, strengthening more consistent, person-centred, evidence-based and multidisciplinary approaches to care.

FPM will continue to actively socialise and showcase the standards across scientific meetings and conferences within the pain sector to support their adoption and long-term impact.

The standards are available via our dedicated online hub, alongside practical resources designed to support educators and clinicians in implementation.
