Our Research Consultation Service helps develop and deliver research services to fellows, trainees, college staff and other key college stakeholders.

ANZCA's Research Consultation Service facilitates the translation of research-based evidence about anaesthesia, pain medicine and perioperative medicine into policy and practice.

Our research librarian:

  • Conducts literature searches, assists with systematic review strategies, and advises on searching and evidence-based practices processes.
  • Responds directly to queries related to the conduct of research, as well as helping to guide emerging investigators through the research lifecycle and full utilisation of the Research Support Toolkit.
  • Teaches searching and academic literacy skills through activities like online webinars, in-services and participation in key workshops.
  • Collaborates with the Safety and Advocacy unit in the creation and updating/review of professional documents.
  • Provides evidence for ANZCA’s strategic initiatives implementation and curriculum development.

Our research librarian is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Literature searches can be submitted using our Request a Literature Search form on the library website.
