Opportunity to join NSW medicines, poisons and therapeutic goods committees

NSW Health is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for membership of new statutory committees to be established under the Medicines, Poisons, and Therapeutic Goods Act 2022.

Suitably qualified and experienced clinicians are sought for the Clinical Advisory Committee and for the Regulatory Advisory Committee.

The first round of EOI submissions closes on 28 April 2026. For more information about the committee, eligibility, and how to apply, please visit the NSW Health website.

What webAIRS can't tell us - under-reporting in anaesthesia

Have you read the latest webAIRS article published in the ANZCA Bulletin Autumn edition?

The article by ANZTADC member Dr Tim Basevi considers questions about why clinicians dont report incidents and how underreporting shapes how these data should be read.

WebAIRS can detect and highlight ‘patterns’ or ‘themes’ in anaesthesia practices to support reflection and discussion of findings at local Morbidity and Mortality meetings.

We are looking to improve the value of webAIRs and encourage users to provide feedback by clicking on the QR code at the end of the article.
