Activities

Plan a foyer 'takeover'

Last year, more than 50 anaesthesia departments around Australia and New Zealand celebrated NAD with displays and information stands in their hospital foyers.

It's a great opportunity to show your colleagues and the community what you do and why you're passionate about it.

If you're planning to put on a foyer display, let us know and we'll mail out a Champions Pack. And don't forget to book the space for Thursday 16 October!

A display of posters, flyers, and bunting promoting anaesthesia

Resources

Posters, handouts & decorations

Planning an information stand or foyer display? We'll pop a set of professionally printed posters, postcards, patient information fact sheets, kids' activities, banners, and bunting in the post.

Please place your order by 10 September 2025.

Resources

Put yourselves in the picture

Last year, lots of our champions liked our 'You're in safe hands' posters so much they made their own versions. So this year, we've created an ANZCA-branded 'drag and drop' Canva template you can use to put your whole team in the picture!

No Canva account? No worries. Simply set up a free one and you're good to go! You can even order professional A1, A2, and A3 prints at the click of a button and get them delivered to your door.

If you get stuck, please email us and we'll do our best to help.

Activities

Share your story

What little things do you do or say to help your patients feel they’re in safe hands? What’s the invisible skill or mindset every anaesthetist needs? What’s your go-to explanation of anaesthesia for friends or family?

Sharing your story in your own words can not only help people feel reassured they're in safe hands should they ever require the care of an anaesthetist, but can also inspire the anaesthetists of the future.
