NSW Trainee Committee going above and beyond for viva support

With viva exams just around the corner and one of our biggest cohorts preparing to sit, the NSW Trainee Committee has been doing an incredible job supporting their peers. Led by the ever-dedicated Dr Victoria Saddick and Dr Sukhi Hegde, the team has pulled together two fantastic evening webinars, Part 1 on 2 October (27 attendees) and Part 2 on 4 September (20 attendees), with more to come!

Trainees shared glowing feedback, describing the sessions as intimate, supportive, and informative. Many said they felt safe and unjudged while practising their viva skills, something that’s not easy to come by during exam prep. And they’re not stopping there: two more webinars are scheduled (Part 1 on 2 October and Part 2 on 30 September).

Earlier this year, the committee also ran additional exam support webinars and a hybrid Independent Skills Workshop in June, supporting 30 trainees both online and in person. Their energy, care, and commitment continue to make a real difference, and we’re so proud of what they’ve achieved!

2025 NSW ACE Anatomy Workshop

Join us on Saturday 29 November at the University of Sydney for the 2025 NSW ACE Anatomy Workshop.

The NSW Anaesthetic Continuing Education Committee is proud to present an engaging and informative full-day workshop dedicated to anatomical demonstrations tailored specifically for anaesthetists with an interest in regional techniques. This unique program features expertly dissected specimens that highlight key anatomical structures relevant to the practice of nerve blocks.

Participants will have the opportunity to observe detailed demonstrations covering a wide range of anatomical regions, including the head and neck, the larynx, upper and lower limbs, the inguinal region, vertebral column, root of neck, intercostal nerves, and orbital anatomy for eye blocks.

Due to the hands-on and highly specialised nature of this session, numbers are strictly limited to 40 participants. We encourage early enrolment to secure your place at this unique event.
