MyPortfolio nears completion: key updates and what to expect
As we approach the final stages of development for MyPortfolio, we’re excited to share a number of important updates that reflect your feedback and our commitment to delivering a seamless, supportive experience for trainees and supervisors alike.
Target launch: November 2025
While the delivery date is not set in stone, we are working towards a launch later in November 2025, a time carefully chosen to minimise disruption to your training pathway. We understand the importance of timing and are committed to ensuring the smoothest transition possible for all users. While there’s never a perfect time to implement change, we are taking deliberate steps to minimise disruption and support you throughout the transition.
Your questions answered
We know you’ll have questions as we move closer to launch, rest assured our number one priority is that there are no disruptions to trainee progression. To support you, we’ve created a dedicated MyPortfolio webpage where you can find answers to common queries.
One of the most frequently asked questions has been about trainee transition to MyPortfolio.
After extensive consultation with trainees, supervisors of training (SOTs), directors of professional affairs (DPAs), and other stakeholders, we’ve made the decision to transition all current trainees and their data to MyPortfolio at the same time. This approach ensures consistency and avoids the need to work across two systems (TPS and MyPortfolio).
For our provisional fellows (PFTs) finishing training in November or December, we’ll be in contact with you directly to help guide you in completing your requirements during the transition to MyPortfolio.
There is also lots of interest in making sure all current data, including partially completed activities are accurately migrated. We'll provide more guidance via the website on activities trainees may choose to complete before the transition to help make the process as smooth as possible.
Training and support
To help you feel confident using MyPortfolio:
SOTs will receive dedicated training from our Education team, delivered during scheduled SOT meetings within their respective jurisdictions.
Trainees, rotational supervisors, and assessors will have access to a suite of instructional videos and user guides, currently in development. You’ll be given time to review these resources before MyPortfolio goes live and you will be able to refer back to these at any time.
Additional support will be available from the college, including drop-in sessions where you can ask questions and explore the system in more depth.
Getting it right: testing and feedback
We're committed to ensuring that the introduction of MyPortfolio does not disrupt your training. That’s why we’re investing in a robust testing process.
We're incredibly grateful to our volunteer testers for their commitment and collaboration.
In addition to technical testing, we’ve scheduled user acceptance testing (UAT) later than originally planned to allow for a more realistic and valuable experience.
Volunteer testers will access MyPortfolio in a staged environment using real data and their own logins. This will provide more accurate insights into the user experience and help us refine the system before launch.
Enhanced features
We're pleased to be providing a familiar like for like system at go live in November. This is to ensure you have an opportunity to become familiar with MyPortfolio ahead of the introduction of new features. We’ve listened to your feedback and are pleased to share several improvements to MyPortfolio over the next six months that will make your experience even more streamlined, intuitive, and efficient:
