Changes to training setting accreditation standards and procedures
From 2027 anaesthesia, pain medicine and rural generalist anaesthesia training settings will be accredited against the Australian Medical Council (AMC) accreditation standards.
The transition to these new standards will also involve updated accreditation procedures designed to support a fair, transparent and consistent process for all stakeholders.
A draft version of the accreditation standards is now available. The draft includes college-specific requirements that are currently under consideration by the AMC.
