Applications are now open for the ANZCA CTN pilot grant scheme.

The ANZCA Clinical Trials Network (CTN) is now accepting applications for its pilot grant scheme, offering up to A$10,000 to support pilot and feasibility studies in anaesthesia, pain medicine, and perioperative medicine.

The scheme is designed to help fellows and trainees generate baseline data, test feasibility, and build stronger applications for large-scale competitive funding. Projects must demonstrate clear potential to progress into multi-centre trials or studies.

The scheme, which is funded by the ANZCA Foundation, is open to ANZCA and FPM fellows and trainees, with other applicants eligible if collaborating with an ANZCA or FPM fellow. Applicants must contact the CTN office to obtain a registration key, application form, and pilot grant policy. Submissions must include the official CTN form, a CV, and a detailed budget outlining all funding sources and proposed use of funds. Eligible costs include research assistant salaries, consultant fees, consumables, software, and ethics fees.

Proposals should clearly describe both the pilot study and the definitive trial or study it is intended to inform. Applications close Monday 8 December, 5pm AEDT, with outcomes announced in March 2026.
