Join us online for a lecture by Dr Tim Ho on targeted rTMS for pain: Connectomics, neuronavigation and measuring neuroplastic change.

Overview

This session will provide a practical overview of targeted rTMS for chronic pain, integrating connectomics-guided targeting with neuronavigation to individualise stimulation. I will discuss my experience measuring outcomes over time, and the opportunities and limitations of connectome-informed neuromodulation in routine practice.

Key themes

  • Why targeting matters (beyond standard “one-size-fits-all” approaches).
  • Connectomics-informed target selection (incl. Quicktome concepts).
  • Neuronavigation workflows for personalised stimulation.
  • Measuring response and outcomes in clinical practice.
  • Practical limitations, pitfalls, and future directions.

Location and venue

This evening meeting will be held online via Zoom.

Program

6.30pm - Introduction

6.30-8pm - Presentation

8pm - Close

All times are Queensland time (AEST).

Invited speaker

The evenings talk will be delivered by Dr Tim Ho, a Pain, Rehabilitation and Addiction Medicine Specialist with a clinical and research interest in neuromodulation for chronic pain. He is involved in research on targeted rTMS using neuronavigation and connectomics-informed approaches, with a focus on translating neuroplasticity and brain-network science into practical, measurable outcomes.
